# Staking

**Staking**

Staking is the third part of this metaverse which will engage the developers and blockchain enthusiasts interested in the back-end part of the metaverse.

Users will be able to stake land & $M of the World\@Meta world in exchange for World\@Meta rewards. These rewards will come directly from the system’s revenue or in the form of NFTs.

From the total volume of 10 billion $M tokens, 1 billion will be reserved for staking purposes.

Separately $M functions as a governance token, so holders of $M may stake their tokens to participate in the development of the blockchain game, voting on features and parameters of the game.\
